JK Encourages Human Resource Development For The People Starting From The JA Mosque
JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Mosque Management Board (PP DMI) Jusuf Kalla encourages the improvement of human resources (HR) starting through mosques.
"Like the time of the Prophet, the mosque became a place of court, a place of education, but now that everyone has their own place, the mosque must be a place for deliberation so that the improvement of our human resources starts from here," said Jusuf Kalla when giving a speech at the inauguration of the Islamic Center Nurul Yaqin in Palu was reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 5.
JK explained, the desire of all citizens to move forward together should be able to start from 800 thousand mosques that have spread throughout Indonesia.
Because, until now the presence of a mosque in the midst of society has given a sense of solemnity and a value that is quite important in carrying out obligations as citizens who obey the leader.
So it should be, continued JK, every mosque must improve its quality to continue to produce a sense of love for the people towards the mosque itself, as well as the nation and state.
"If there is a mosque but there are no congregations, then who will prosper it, because of that the relationship between mosques and mosque administrators and congregations is a crucial thing that must be filled with positive activities. If the quality of the mosque is good then the congregation is definitely better again," said JK.
JK said three things could trigger the prosperity of a mosque, first building a mosque, then maintaining the mosque and managing the mosque, or mosque organization.
"Without the collaboration of these three elements, the function of the mosque will not be realized," he said.
Therefore, JK hopes that the presence of the mosque and the newly inaugurated Islamic Center can help improve the welfare of the surrounding community, and can be utilized by various good religious activities.
"Not only serves as a place of education for the people, but also provides a sense of comfort in worship for the congregation, as well as the Islamic Center which was built on waqf land as a symbol of the unity of the ulama and umara," said JK.a
