Suggests Bayern Munich Sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Lothar Matthaus: It Will Be Very Sexy!

JAKARTA - Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus suggested his former club recruit Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese player is considered the right person to replace Robert Lewandowski who wants to leave Die Roten for Barcelona.

"Ronaldo going to Bayern would be very sexy! At least you have to think about options and take advantage only once," said Matthaus, reported by Tribal Football, Tuesday.

Ronaldo's future at Manchester United continues to be a matter of speculation. Later he was said to have told his club that he wanted to leave.

The 37-year-old is reportedly disappointed by Manchester United's lack of enthusiasm for spending on players, so he continues to urge them to accept suitable offers that come in.

However, the club based at Old Trafford is still adamant not to sell it.

"If Bayern think that Cristiano Ronaldo physically can still really help for a year or two, they can invest in the transfer fee that resulted from Robert Lewandowski," he said.

Despite suggesting Bayern recruit Ronaldo, Matthaus is still worried about a number of things. He did not guarantee whether Ronaldo would suit Bayern.

However, he believes Ronaldo can have a very significant effect for FC Hollywood. Especially the club's finances from the sale of the jersey belonging to the Mega star.

"I'm also not sure if he fits into Bayern Munich's system. But he's still an incredible goalscorer. He's one of the best strikers of all time and will definitely score around 30 goals. Money back through shirt sales and the like will be guaranteed," said he.

So far Bayern reportedly refused to buy Ronaldo. The reason is, the former Real Madrid player has an exorbitant salary.

As is known, the player with the initials CR7 is the highest-paid player in the English Premier League. For that, he may ask for a salary in the same amount if Bayern recruited him.
