Acting Governor Of West Sulawesi Forbids OPD From Holding Activities Outside The Region

MAMUJU - Acting Governor of West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Akmal Malik forbade local organizations (OPD) from holding activities outside the region.

"I ask all OPD heads within the provincial government to no longer leave West Sulawesi," said Akmal Malik at a meeting with OPD in the West Sulawesi Governor Rujab Meeting Room, reported by Antara, Monday, July 4.

This was done, continued Akmal Malik, because the realization of OPD absorption within the scope of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government was still minimal in the third quarter of 2022.

However, during the meeting several OPDs were found to be outside the region.

This made Akmal Malik furious and explicitly stated that no more OPD would leave the area without his permission.

"Please leave the area but when you ask me to be responsible, I will not give it," said Akmal Malik.

The Acting Governor said that he had ordered the Daily Executive of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the Province of West Sulawesi Khaeruddin Anas to make a circular so that no more OPDs would operate outside the region without the permission of the acting governor.

Meanwhile, Assistant II for Development and Development at the Secretariat of the West Sulawesi Province, Khaeruddin Anas, who is also the Daily Executive of the Secretary of the West Sulawesi Province, confirmed that many OPDs had left the region.

"Today I was ordered to make a circular no more OPD heads may leave West Sulawesi without the permission of the acting governor," said Khaeruddin Anas.

If it is still found, he will take firm action against the OPD by not disbursing the travel expenses.

"If there are still people who leave, the acting governor will not pay," he said.

"Earlier, he asked the BPKPD not to pay it or it could no longer be disbursed unless he was responsible and paid for it himself and did not pay for his official trip without the permission of the Acting Governor," explained Khaeruddin Anas.

This was done, he continued, so that the absorption of the budget in this area could be maximized because the realization of the budget entering Quarter III/2022 was still very low.
