KPK Confirms Tulungagung Regent Maryoto Birowo Regarding Application For Provincial Financial Aid
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed two witnesses regarding the submission of financial assistance for the East Java Province for the 2014-2018 period for Tulungagung Regency, East Java.
Two witnesses, namely the Regent of Tulungagung for the period 2019-2023 Maryoto Birowo who also served as Deputy Regent of Tulungagung for the period 2013-2018 and the Treasurer of Expenditures for the Secretariat of the DPRD Tulungagung Regency Made Prasetyo.
"The two witnesses were present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the submission of financial assistance from the East Java Province for the 2014-2018 period for Tulungagung Regency until the discussion within the scope of the Tulungagung Regency DPRD," said Acting (Plt.) The KPK examined the two at the Tulungagung Police, Thursday (30/6), in an investigation into the alleged bribery case related to the allocation of the East Java Province financial aid budget for the 2014-2018 period for Tulungagung Regency.
Meanwhile, two other witnesses did not attend the summons of the KPK investigation team, namely the former Head of the Budget Division of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Tulungagung Regency Sri Pramuni and Nurkhodik as the Head of Development for Natural Resources Development.
"Both of them will still be rescheduled by the investigative team," said Ali.
In the investigation of the case, the KPK has named several parties as suspects.
The KPK will announce the parties named as suspects, the chronology of the alleged acts of corruption committed, and the articles that are alleged to be submitted by the KPK when attempts are made to force arrest or detention.
The KPK on Tuesday (28/6) examined three witnesses, namely former Tulungagung Regent Syahri Mulyo. former Chairman of the Tulungagung Regency DPRD, Supriyono, and former Head of PUPR Tulungagung Regency Sutrisno.
The KPK confirmed that the three were related to the proposal to obtain the East Java Province financial aid budget for the 2014-2018 period for Tulungagung Regency.
