DKI-Jabar-Central Java To Build Cooking Oil Factory In Cilegon Worth Rp150 Billion
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wirayo said the plan to build a cooking oil factory is still in progress. In this project, Food Station as a DKI BUMD will cooperate with West Java and Central Java BUMDs, namely Argo Jabar and Central Java Argo Berdikari.
This cooperation is in the form of investment and absorption of production results. Pamrihadi revealed that the investment value in the construction of a cooking oil factory was Rp. 150 billion.
"This is a collaboration with West Java and Central Java. In fact, East Java is also willing to participate. So, of the 3 BUMDs, whether the capital participation uses bank credit, what will happen later," Pamrihadi told reporters, Wednesday, June 29.
The location for the construction of the cooking oil factory has been determined, which is in Cilegon, Banten. The construction target is carried out in early January 2022 and completed in June 2023.
The initial plan was that the factory would be built in West Java. However, after considering the efficiency of crude palm oil (CPO) shipments, the location was moved to Banten.
Later, the distribution of CPO from ships will be carried out through pipes. Meanwhile, if the factory is built in West Java, the delivery process still has to use tanker trucks.
"In the past, the initial consideration was in West Java, yes. We were looking for a location close to the pier so that it could be delivered. CPO is from Kalimantan and Sumatra. So, this can cost efficiency because tankers can dock at the pier," said Pamrihadi.
Pamrihadi said that today there will be an MoU between Food Station as a DKI BUMD and the owner of the factory construction land, namely Krakatau Logistik, as well as an MoU with PT INL as a subsidiary of PTPN which produces olein.
Pamrihadi explained the reason his party plans to build a cooking oil factory. In the future, the DKI Provincial Government is targeting a food self-sufficiency. Therefore, this regional-owned company is expected to become a food producer, especially cooking oil which is now difficult to reach at low prices. .
