After Two Indosurya KSP Suspects Freed, Bareskrim Changed The Way Of Handling The Case
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police will break down the police report (LP) on the fraudulent investment case of the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP). Thus, the investigation and investigation of this case can be reopened.
"I ask that the Police Report (LP) be split up," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Ardianto, to reporters, Tuesday, June 28.
Originally, in handling this case, all LPs in all Polda ranks were withdrawn to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. However, this method has a bad effect.
Because, in the process of filing the prosecutor's office, the researcher always assesses that the case files delegated by investigators are incomplete. This resulted in the release of two suspects, Henry Surya and June Indria, because their 120-day detention period had expired.
Solving the LP is also considered an efficient way of handling this case. The reason is that this fraudulent investment case occurred in several areas.
In fact, said Agus, in this case there are already two LPs whose status has been upgraded to investigation. Thus, the free suspects can be detained again.
"Because this is not nebis in idem (investigation of similar cases, ed) because the locos and tempos are different, so there are 2 prisons if I'm not mistaken, which have been escalated to investigation," he said.
Therefore, all parties who feel they are victims of KSP Indosurya's fraudulent investment must report it. Thus, the handling of this case will be handled partially.
"After this, immediately make efforts to force the person concerned (the suspect, ed) and carry out the investigation process as in handling ordinary cases," said Agus.
For information, as many as 14,500 people have fallen victim to KSP Indosurya's fraudulent investments. The total loss is estimated at IDR 15.9 trillion. In this case, the Criminal Investigation Department has named three suspects.
