Polda Jatim Deploys Jatanras To Hunt Junk Slaughter Shooters In Sidoarjo
SURABAYA - The East Java Police have dispatched a team from the Sub-Directorate of Crime and Violence (Jatanras) of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum), to uncover the shooting case of Sabar (45) a junk boss in Sidoarjo Regency.
"Ditreskrimum through the Head of Sub-Directorate of Jatanras is only a back-up for the investigation of this case," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, confirmed, Tuesday, June 28.
Dirmanto said that there was a shooting case by an unknown person (OTK) against Sabar, a junkyard skipper, at the Larangan flyover, Sidoarjo Regency, at 21.00 WIB, Monday, June 27. Currently, the case is still under investigation by the Sidoarjo Police.
"The police are still hunting for the perpetrators who are mentioned as two people and riding a motorbike. Usually, the Jatanras Polda Jatim are involved in hunting for the perpetrators of a crime," he said.
He said the case was handled by the Sidoarjo Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Polda East Java only back-up. Regarding how it develops, Dirmanto is still not willing to explain in detail because it is still in the investigation stage. "Please pray, hopefully it will be revealed soon," he said.
It was previously reported that a junkyard skipper named Sabar lay under the Fly Over Pasar Larangan, Sidoarjo Regency, on Monday night. The resident of Candi Subdistrict, the local district, was allegedly injured after being shot by two OTKs riding motorbikes. The victim was reported to be in critical condition and was rushed to the hospital.
At the time of the incident, a resident around the scene named Prayit, 62, said the victim was from Candi District, Sidoarjo. In Larangan, he became a collector of junk stored in a place. "During the incident, I heard two gunshot-like explosions. I thought it was firecrackers," he said.
Not long after, there was a scream for help. Residents came out and approached the location. Well, that's when the residents saw the victim lying. Using a car, the victim was then rushed to the hospital. According to Prayit, there were two gunshot wounds to the victim's body.
Local police officers arrived at the scene and carried out the crime scene. However, until this news was written, no information was obtained from the police regarding the investigation of the case.
