NTB Prosecutor's Office Handles Corruption Case For Social Assistance Ministry Of Social Affairs Rp. 2.3 Billion In Bima

NTB - The Special Criminal Prosecutor's Team for the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office handled a case of alleged corruption in the distribution of social assistance (bansos) from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) worth Rp. 2.3 billion for fire victims in Bima Regency.

Spokesperson for the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, Efren Saputra, said investigators from the NTB Prosecutor's Office had named three suspects in the case.

"Since there is a suspect, investigators are now completing the dossier to hand it over to the research prosecutor," said Efien in Mataram, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 23.

Efien conveyed this based on information he received from the work visit of the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Sungarpin and his entourage to the Bima Kejari last week.

The three suspects in this case are the former Head of the Bima Regency Social Service Andi Sirajudin, the former Head of the Social Protection and Security (Linjamsos) Division of the Bima Ismun Regency Social Service and the Fire Assistance Distribution Assistant for Sukardi.

The involvement of the three suspects in this corruption case began with complaints from the beneficiaries of the 2020 social assistance who came from among the victims of the fire disaster. The total is 248 people.

They complained about the cuts in social assistance funds from the Bima District Social Service. The deduction amount varies. Deductions occur when the recipient withdraws the social assistance funds through the bank.

According to the recipient's statement, the Social Service made the deductions for reasons of administrative costs.

From the data collection, it was revealed that the number of recipients of social assistance included residents of Renda Village, 37 heads of families (KK); Ngali Village 10 families; Naru Village 14 families, and Karampi Village 30 families.
