Attending The G7 Summit Working Lunch Session In Germany, President Jokowi Invites Developed Countries To Invest In The Clean Energy Sector
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) attended the Working Lunch session of the G7 Summit in Schloss Elmau, Germany, inviting the countries of the organization to invest in Indonesia.
In his upload on Twitter, the President wrote that today's working lunch session of the G7 Summit took the topics of climate change, energy, and health.
"I am here to convey an invitation to the G7 countries to contribute to take advantage of investment opportunities in the clean energy sector in Indonesia," he wrote on Twitter as quoted on Monday 27 June.
While on his Instagram account, President Jokowi mentioned investment opportunities that the G7 countries could take advantage of, including the development of an electric car and lithium battery ecosystem.
"Indonesia needs at least USD 25-30 billion for the energy transition in the next 8 years. We can optimize this transition as a motor for economic growth, opening up business opportunities, and creating new jobs," he wrote.
Previously, President Jokowi arrived at the location of the G7 summit in Schloss Elmau, Germany, after taking a 30-minute helicopter flight with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
