Central Java And DI Yogyakarta Hajj Candidates Arrive In The Holy Land As Of 27 June: 11,835 Congregants, 14 Sick And 3 Dead

SOLO - The Solo Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) noted that 11,835 Solo Embarkation congregants had arrived in the Holy Land up to group 33.

The Solo Embarkation PPIH Public Relations Coordinator, Sarip Sahrul Samsudin, explained that of the total who had arrived, 14 people were sick and being treated at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

While the congregation from the Solo Embarkation who died in the Holy Land, there were three people.

Currently, 12,215 Solo Embarkation congregants from Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) have departed for the Holy Land via Adi Soemarmo Airport, Boyolali.

As many as 60 hajj candidates from Batang and Boyolali who are members of group 34 departed at 04.34 WIB, Monday 27 June.

This was followed by the departure of batch 44 or a combined reserve of 20 hajj candidates from Banyumas, Cilacap, Semarang, Tegal, Salatiga, Pemalang, Wonosobo, and Demak Regencies.

However, this reserve group departed via the Pondok Cabe Embarkation, Jakarta, at 05.41 WIB, Monday 27 June.

"Thus, the number of Solo Embarkation Hajj candidates is up to batch 34 plus batch 44 or a reserve group of 20 people who have departed for the Holy Land, as many as 12,215 people or around 78.9 percent of the total planned implementation this year," said Sarip at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory. He added that there were only three pilgrims from the Solo Embarkation who were delayed due to illness and were referred to the hospital, namely one person from the 29, 30, and 31 congregants. Of that number, two people were treated at the Karanganyar Air Force Hospital and one at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory Clinic.

PPIH Embarkation Solo, continued Sarip, is also scheduled to dispatch prospective hajj pilgrims from Boyolali and Pemalang who are members of group 35 to the Holy Land, Monday. The group of prospective Hajj pilgrims will depart for Saudi Arabia, via Adi Soemarmo Boyolali Airport, at 19.25 WIB.

"We will also welcome pilgrims from Pemalang, Magelang, and Semarang Regencies who are members of group 36 at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory in Boyolali, Monday, at 18.00 WIB. The congregation of group 36 is scheduled to be flown to the Holy Land, Tuesday (28 June), at 18.15 WIB," he said.
