Central Java Hajj Pilgrims Died In Saudi Arabia Increased To 3 People
BOYOLALI - The Solo Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) said the number of prospective pilgrims from Central Java who died in Saudi Arabia increased by one, bringing it to three.
"An additional person who died on behalf of Yuli Nurani Hidayah (56), a resident of Plarangan, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, was part of group 27," said PPIH Embarkation Solo Public Relations Coordinator Sarip Sahrul Samsudin as quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 26.
The congregation from Kebumen died while undergoing treatment at a Saudi Arabian Hospital, on Saturday, June 25, at 12.30 Saudi Arabian Time (WAS), due to suffering from "Cardiovascular Disease".
The body was then buried in the Sharae public cemetery in Mecca.
"With the addition of one person who died from Central Java, the total for the Solo Embarkation is three people," said Sarip.
Sarip said the number of Solo Embarkation congregants who were undergoing treatment due to illness at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, as of Sunday, was nine people.
The nine sick pilgrims consisted of two groups of 3, group 7, group 8, group 9, group 10, group 29 one person and group 11 two people.
Meanwhile, there are seven prospective pilgrims who are still sick and referred to hospitals in the country, namely five people being treated at the TNI AU Karanganyar Hospital and two others at Dr. Moewardi Solo.
"PPIH Embarkation Solo condolences for the death of the congregation from Plarangan, Kebumen Regency who departed through the Embarkation Solo, I hope the bereaved families will be given strength and fortitude, amen," said Sarip.
PPIH appealed to the Solo Embarkation Hajj pilgrims to always wear footwear and wear masks when doing outdoor activities.
"We urge pilgrims who are still at home who will go to the Solo Embarkation to get plenty of rest and take care of their health as much as possible and do health consultations as an anticipatory measure," he said.

Meanwhile, 11,835 pilgrims have flown to the Holy Land, from the total quota for this year's 15,477 people divided into 43 groups.
"We have just released 360 pilgrims from Pekalongan and Batang who are members of batch 33. This group of 33 hajj candidates departed from Adi Soemarmo Airport in Boyolali, Sunday, at 11.55 WIB," he said.
