Only Shallots Reaches IDR 80,000/Kg, Cayenne Pepper To Tomatoes In Jayapura Experience An Increase
PAPUA - The price of inter-island shallots in Jayapura has increased sharply to reach Rp. 80,000/kg.
The increase in the price of shallots occurred from the level of suppliers who brought in from Surabaya.
Burhan, one of the traders at the Hamadi Market in Jayapura, said that the shallots were taken from suppliers at a price of Rp. 65,000-Rp. 70,000/kg. But the condition is still dirty so it must be cleaned first before selling.
Meanwhile, the shallots which are usually supplied from the Arso area are currently empty.
"The price of local shallots originating from Arso is usually sold at around Rp. 30,000-Rp45,000/kg," he explained as quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 26.
In addition to the price of shallots, the price of cayenne pepper is also still high, namely Rp. 120,000/kg, while the price of chili is Rp. 60,000/kg, large chili is Rp. 70,000/kg and tomatoes are Rp. 18,000/kg.
The price of garlic is Rp. 40,000/kg, the price of beans is Rp. 18,000/kg, the price of potatoes is Rp. 25,000/kg, the price of carrots is Rp. 30,000/kg, the price of cabbage is Rp. 20,000/kg, the price of chicory is Rp. 25,000/kg.
Meanwhile, the price of fruit is relatively normal, namely watermelon Rp. 25,000/fruit, melon price Rp. 20,000/fruit, red dragon fruit price Rp. 30,000/kg, papaya price Rp. 10,000/piece, corn price Rp. 5,000/three fruit.
