Important Information! Rates For Extension Of Stay Permits For Foreigners Visits Increase To IDR 2 Million For 60 Days
JAKARTA - The tariff for extension of stay permit for foreign citizens (foreigners) in Indonesia has now changed from Rp. 500 thousand for 30 days to Rp. 2 million for 60 days.
The policy of changing the tariff to IDR 2 million for 60 days after the COVID-19 pandemic in Jakarta subsided.
As many as 100 foreign guarantors, companies and stakeholders related to foreign workers just received socialization on changes in the tariff for extension of stay permits for foreign visits in North Jakarta, Wednesday, June 22.
"Hopefully what has been conveyed can be known by the whole community and of course this will also make the best things for the progress of a better Indonesia as mandated by the Minister of Law and Human Rights," said Director of Immigration Stay Permit, Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Pramella Yunidar. Pasaribu in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, reported by Antara.
During the last 2.5 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pramella admitted that services related to foreigners were minimal. Even if there is, it is a service for foreigners who, when in Indonesia, cannot go to Bali due to the pandemic.
Even though there is a new immigration service that is mandated by the Job Creation Act and the tariffs must be socialized to the public.
"There is a tariff change, so the public must know about this tariff change," said Pramella.
Tariff changes are regulated based on the derivative of the Job Creation Law through the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 9/PMK.02/2022 concerning Types and Tariffs for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) on Immigration Services Applicable to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) RI .
This regulation is effective 60 days from its promulgation on April 16, 2022. Socialization needs to be launched by the government, in this case by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia by making adjustments to the situation of the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in DKI Jakarta.
In addition, it is also adjusted to the situation that is just starting to recover so that the change in tariffs is known to the public. Pramella said the public should not be unaware of the new regulations.
Pramella explained, there are a number of services whose rates must be increased in order to increase Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) and support recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The visit permit is Rp. 500 thousand, now it is Rp. 2 million. Of course not for us (Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights), but for the progress of economic recovery in Indonesia," said Pramella.
Pramella said the option to increase the tariff was decided by the Indonesian government based on a decision that adapted to global conditions.
Head of the Immigration Office Class I TPI Tanjung Priok Abdi Widodo Subagio then carried out the socialization at Ibis Style Jakarta Sunter, Tanjung Priok on Wednesday.
He hopes that foreign companies employing Indonesians abroad can also treat Indonesian citizens (WNI) well. According to Widodo, the changes in tariffs imposed are not too significant.
"Indeed, there is an increase. The increase is also not significant but the increase is not for us but for the state because it will be paid to the state. Namely for the proposal for Indonesia's economic recovery," said Widodo.
