Watch Out! BPJAMSOSTEK's Fake Scam Mode Is Increasing, Employees And Employers Are Called To Be Alert

JAKARTA - The public is advised to be wary of fraud on behalf of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJAMSOSTEK). This case emerged following a hoax news regarding the provision of assistance to 10 selected people and each of them was entitled to receive money worth Rp. 27 million.

People who get the message are directed to contact a certain number through the Whatsapp application. In addition, there are many other modes that are used, one of which is related to the distribution of Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU).

Deputy Director for Public Relations and Inter-Agency BPJAMSOSTEK Oni Marbun said messages like this need to be watched out for.

The public, especially workers and employers, are urged to be careful of all forms of information and fraudulent modes on behalf of BPJAMSOSTEK and the President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo.

"Currently, there are many irresponsible parties who commit fraud by disseminating incorrect information through short messages or social media. The public must be more careful in receiving information, so as not to become victims of these actions," said Oni in a statement received in Jakarta, Between, Wednesday, June 22.

Until now, there have been no reports from either the public or BPJAMSOSTEK participants who were victims of this fraud. Oni actually encourages people who experience the same thing to report it to BPJAMSOSTEK or the authorities.

All official information on BPJAMSOSTEK can be accessed through the website www.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id, Community Services 175, as well as the BPJS Employment Facebook account, bpjs.ketenagakerjaan instragram or Twitter @bpjstkinfo.

In accordance with the mandate of the law, BPJAMSOSTEK is a public legal entity appointed by the government to carry out five protection programs consisting of Work Accident Insurance (JKK), Death Security (JKM), Old Age Security (JHT), Pension Security (JP) and Loss Guarantee Employment (JKP).

Therefore, all services and all forms of promotion carried out by BPJAMSOSTEK are never charged.

"Hopefully in the future there will be no more fraudulent acts in the name of BPJAMSOSTEK, let alone to the point of taking victims, so that public trust in this state program is maintained, namely protecting Indonesian workers," said Oni.

Meanwhile, Chairul Arianto as Head of the Jakarta Gambir Branch of BPJAMSOSTEK Office appealed to the public and program participants to filter the information received. "Don't be fooled by fake news because you are driven by economic needs so you just believe it."

Chairul also reminded the public to always confirm if there is news related to BPJS Employment through the website or official accounts so that further victims do not appear.
