9 Days Of Ops Obedience, Most Violations Don't Wear A Safety Belt
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya noted that the most violations committed by motorists during Operation Patuh Jaya 2022 were not wearing a safety belt. The number reached 1,634 violations.
"There are 79 types of violations using cellphones while driving, exceeding the speed limit 103 violations, safety belt violations 1,634 and odd-even violations," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Jamal Alam in his statement, Wednesday, June 22.
The details of the violation are the result of 9 days of prosecution with a total of 1,909 prosecutions.
Thousands of violations and even then are dealt with using an electronic ticket or E-TLR. In addition, there are also actions in the form of warnings as many as 19,566.
"The number of good actions with E-TLE and warnings is 21,475," said Jamal.
Specifically for odd-even prosecutions at 13 expansion points, there were 473 violations recorded. All of them are prosecuted or ticketed electronically and manually.
"There are 28 ETLE prosecutions and 444 manual tickets. The total is about 472 violators," said Jamal.
Operation Patuh Jaya was held for two weeks or starting from June 13 to 26 throughout Indonesia. In this operation, there were 8 focus violations, including the use of cellphones while driving, underage drivers, motorbikes riding in the car with more than 1 person. SNI helmet, not using a safety belt, driving under the influence of alcohol, going against the current, and exceeding the speed limit.
