Using Restorative Justice, 6 Cases Starting From Persecution Of Neighbors, Domestic Violence And Traffic Accidents Terminated By Aceh Prosecutor's Office
ACEH - The Aceh High Court stated that the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) approved the termination of the prosecution of six cases using restorative justice.
Acting Head of the Legal Information Section of the Aceh High Prosecutor's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, said the six cases were handled by the Aceh Singkil District Attorney, South Aceh District Attorney, Gayo Lues District Attorney, Central Aceh District Attorney, and North Aceh District Attorney's Office for two cases.
"There were six cases approved by Jampidum. The approval for the termination of prosecution of six cases through restorative justice was carried out virtually from the Aceh Attorney General's Office and was followed by the heads of state prosecutors," said Ali Rasab Lubis in Banda Aceh, Antara, Tuesday, June 21.
The six cases are in the name of the suspect Ismail bin Kamaruddin. The suspect was charged with assaulting a neighbour. The case is handled by the Central Aceh District Attorney.
Here, on behalf of the suspect M Muttaqin bin Ilyas in the case of a traffic accident and the suspect Riski Ardian bin M Ramli in the case of persecution. Both cases are handled by the North Aceh District Attorney.
Furthermore, with the suspect in the name of the suspect Suriadi alias Andek bin Alm Sumuradin in the case of persecution. The case was handled by the Gayo Lues District Attorney.
Also, the suspect is T Zairi bin T Ariyan in the case of persecution. The case is handled by the South Aceh District Attorney. And the suspect is Usman Arifin bin Marifin in the case of domestic violence. The case is handled by the Aceh Singkil District Attorney.
"The termination of the six cases with restorative justice was carried out because the suspects were the first to commit a crime," said Ali Rasab Lubis.
In addition, the suspects have admitted their guilt and have apologized to the victim. The victim has also forgiven the suspect and will not sue again.
Ali Rasab Lubis said that the peace between the suspects and the victims was known to the people in their neighborhood. The peace between the suspect and the victim received a positive response from the community
"Furthermore, Jampidum ordered the heads of state prosecutors to issue a letter determining the prosecution based on restorative justice as a manifestation of legal certainty," said Ali Rasab Lubis.
