Waiting For Labfor Results, Police Have Not Determined Suspect In Banyumas Explosion Case That Killed One Person
PURWOKERTO - The Banyumas City Police (Polresta) has not yet named a suspect in the explosion that killed a resident in Grumbul Leler RT 04 RW 01, Randegan Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.
"We are still waiting for the results from the Labfor (Forensic Laboratory). If the examination of the witness and his family clearly states that he (the victim) bought materials related to explosives," said Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Edy Suranta Sitepu, quoted by Antara, Monday. , June 20.
Furthermore, he said, the victim concocted the materials themselves to sell.
Regarding the sale and so on, he said it was still under investigation at the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"It's still under investigation at the Detectives," said Kombes Edy.
Head of the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Agus Supriadi, said that his party had examined six witnesses who were relatives and neighbors of the victim.
According to him, his party is still waiting for the results of the Central Java Police Labfor examination related to the evidence found at the explosion site.
He said that until now his party has not named a suspect in the explosion case because the case will be held first after the results of the Labfor examination are out.
"Actually, the victim is also the maker. Therefore, we will hold it (the case, ed.) first," said Kompol Agus.
The explosion incident that occurred on Tuesday (14/6) at 17.30 WIB at Grumbul Leler RT 04 RW 01, Randegan Village, Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency, resulted in the death of a resident named Ahmad Bustomi (28).
The explosion is thought to have occurred while the victim was mixing the ingredients while smoking. This allegation arose because when the victim's body was evacuated from the scene, there were many cigarette butts in the vicinity.
