Deputy PKB Jazilul Fawaid Not Willing Cak Imin To Be Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid emphasized that there has been no official decision regarding the duet of Gerindra General Chair Prabowo Subianto and PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin).
"Not yet. There has been no official decision, just wait," said Jazilul when confirmed by VOI, Monday, June 20.
However, Jazilul admitted that he personally did not want Cak Imin to become a vice presidential candidate. Because as deputy chairman of the election winning field, from the beginning he wanted Cak Imin to become a presidential candidate.
"I personally am not willing, as waketum in the field of winning, I am not willing," said Jazilul.
Even so, Jazilul said, PKB welcomed the meeting point of cooperation with Gerindra after continuing to carry out intense communication. PKB, he said, did not close the door to a coalition with any party. The most important thing, he said, was to achieve the goal of winning in the 2024 election.
"Politics has a meeting point, before that there was a compromise because the goal was to want this coalition to win," he said.
It is known, PKB and Gerindra agreed to cooperate in facing the 2024 General Election. In fact, PKB claims the coalition built with Gerindra as the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition.
"There are two stages, which are busy, right now, they are only the nominating stage, who are the candidates. After that, the next stage after which a candidate wins is still dynamic. That's how it develops once the candidates appear, do these candidates then change? tight election," he concluded.
