Sandiaga Uno Prints Millions Of Jobs Through The Digitalpreneur Santri Program

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno hopes that the Santri Digitalpreneur program can strengthen the presence of new talents in the digital economy. Especially from the students to support economic revival and open job opportunities.

Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno said this program aims to form a new economic order after the COVID-19 pandemic. Santri will be an important element in developing the tourism sector and the creative economy in the future.

Santri Digitalpreneur Indonesia is a program to create a generation of digital students who can produce creative and innovative digital content and have good morals. Santri Digitalpreneur Indonesia is a place for students to increase their capacity and skills through measurable and targeted trainings

The participants of the Indonesian Digitalpreneur Santri will receive basic material training, discussions, and a series of practices that will make the students understand the material comprehensively. The training materials are provided by competent professionals in the creative and digital fields, as well as animation.

"These students will become leaders in both the business world and other pentahelix sectors," said Menparekraf Sandiaga in his official statement, Sunday, June 19.

Sandiaga said that this program is expected to be a way to form new talents in the creative economy sector. Especially from the students.

"We hope that this will be an encouragement to immediately rise from the economic side, open up business opportunities and employment opportunities because there are around 4.5 million santri and 28 thousand Islamic boarding schools. Tasikmalaya, and we hope that this will be a step to prepare new talents in the digital economy," he said.

Sandiaga assessed that a santri must be an innovative, adaptive and collaborative generation in dealing with the post-COVID-19 economy.

"Santri must enter the digital economy ecosystem and prioritize creative products. Santri must be up-to-date and a lot of content will be provided in a digital context," said Sandiaga.

In addition, the marketing of products made by these students can later be marketed through the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement. "These students will be part of the 30 million MSMEs that will be part of the digital economy ecosystem so that promotions both in terms of packaging improvements, we will facilitate the promotion of improvements," he said.

In this activity, Sandiaga had time to buy a number of products made by students of the Idrisiyyah Islamic Boarding School.

The Indonesian Digitalpreneur Santri Program which took place at the Idrisiyyah Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya, West Java, collaborated with a number of parties, such as the Dewa Dewi Indonesia Foundation, Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School, and the Nusantara Santri Information Flow.
