Heart Disease, Hajj Candidate From Solo Dies In Medina

JAKARTA - A hajj candidate from Sragen Regency, Central Java Province, reportedly died due to illness in Medina City, Saudi Arabia. This was conveyed by the Solo Embarkation Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH).

Solo Embarkation PPIH Public Relations Coordinator Sarip Sahrul Samsudin at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory Boyolali, Sunday, June 19, said that the Hajj candidate who died of heart disease on Saturday, June 18 was a member of the Solo Embarkation 15 flight group (kloter).

According to him, the body of the 61-year-old male hajj candidate from Masaran District was buried in Baqi, Medina City.

Sarip also explained that there were three members of the congregation from the Solo Embarkation area who were undergoing treatment at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Saudi Arabia.

He detailed that one person from Kendal who was part of group 11 underwent treatment at the KKHI Medina and two members of the group 4 from Grobogan underwent treatment at the KKHI Mecca.

In addition, there are five Hajj candidates from the Solo Embarkation area who are still undergoing treatment in the country. Three people are being treated at the Karanganyar Air Force Hospital and two people are being treated at the Haji Donohudan Dormitory Polyclinic.

The Solo Embarkation PPIH dispatched group 22 pilgrims which included 360 hajj candidates from Semarang City and Sukoharjo Regency to Saudi Arabia from Adi Soemarmo Boyolali International Airport on Sunday at 01.49 WIB.

Overall, PPIH Embarkation Solo has dispatched 7,881 people to the Holy Land.

"We plan to also dispatch JCH batch 23 from Sukoharjo to the Holy Land this Sunday at 16.30 WIB," said Sarip.

Hajj candidates from the Solo Embarkation area who have arrived in the Holy Land until the arrival of pilgrims in batch 21 are 7,521 people.
