6 Types Of Foods To Avoid For The Breakfast Menu

Without breakfast, intake of a combination of protein, fiber, and healthy fats to make you feel full until lunch time will not be obtained. At breakfast, you need a moderate amount of carbohydrates to provide quick energy. But apparently not many people understand that the breakfast menus below don't make you excited and have enough energy.

1. Sweet or very fine cereals

Quoting Healthline, Sunday, June 19, sweet cereals are often served on the breakfast table. Most sugary cereals won't keep you energized for long. A high-sugar, low-protein breakfast menu quickly raises blood sugar levels. This triggers hunger after the hormone insulin lowers blood sugar.

2. Pancakes or waffles

These two breakfast menus are not nutritious foods to fill your morning. It may taste very tempting, but this dish is made of fine white flour sprinkled with butter and syrup. Basically these toppings are natural sugars and unhealthy fats. This means that pancakes and waffles are high in calories, fat, and sugar, but low in protein and fiber. This breakfast also does not make you full longer. If you have waffles and pancakes for breakfast, choose a fruit and whole grain version that is nutrient-dense, such as almond flour or whole wheat flour.
