Investigate Case Of Viral Blast Trading Robot, Criminal Investigation Unit Confiscates IDR 1.5 Billion From Persija And Madura United
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police confiscated assets in the form of money worth Rp. 23 billion in the case of the Viral Blast trading robot. Some of them were confiscated from football clubs Persija Jakarta and Madura United.
"The total amount of money that has been confiscated is Rp. 23,045,000,000, of which Rp. 1.5 billion is from Madura United, Persija, Bhayangkara fc," said Head of the TPPU Sub-Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) Bareskrim Kombes Robertus Yohanes De Deo Tresna Eka Trimana when confirmed , Saturday, June 18.
Then, the tens of billions of money was also the result of the confiscation of the assets of the suspects. At least, there are four suspects namely RPW, MU, ZHP, and PW. However, PW is still at large until now.
"Also confiscated money from the suspects worth IDR 20 billion, IDR 45 million from an exchanger and IDR 1.4 billion from a dealer in Surabaya," he said.
"The Rp1.4 billion money is Down Payment (DP), Mercy's money, suspect PW from a dealer in Kedaung Surabaya," continued Robertus.
There are also assets belonging to the suspect that have been confiscated, including 5 cars, 2 houses, and two apartment units.
"The total assets seized were nine units," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the handling of this case, continued Robertus, the investigative team has completed the files on behalf of the three suspects, namely, RPW, ZHP, and RPW. The third case file has been declared complete by the Public Prosecutor or P21.
Thus, the suspects and evidence have been delegated to the Surabaya District Attorney's Office (Kejari). However, his detention was placed in the Criminal Investigation Department
"Unit 1 Sub-Directorate III has carried out phase 2 of the Viral Blast case against the suspects ZHP, MU, and RPW on June 17, 2022," said Robertus.
