Germany 2022 MotoGP Qualification: Bagnaia Pole Position, Second Quartararo Start
JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo Team racer Francesco Bagnaia won the pole position of the 2022 German MotoGP Grand Prix. He beat Fabio Quartararo in second place.
Bagnaia carved a time of 1 minute 19.931 seconds at the Sachsenring Circuit on Saturday, June 18 at night WIB.
Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha followed with a time difference of +0.076 seconds.
Ducati rider of the Prima Pramac Racing team Johann Zarco overtook compatriot Quartararo in third place. He is +0.099 seconds adrift of the leading rider.
Filling in fourth and fifth places are Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Racing MotoGP).
Then in a row filling the top ten are Jack Miller, Luca Marini, Jorge Martin, Maverick Vinales, and Takaaki Nakagami.
The German race which will take place on Sunday, June 19 tomorrow, will certainly give birth to a new champion.
The reason is, Marc Marquez who dominated the first MotoGP podium since 2013 is still absent due to injury.
The Spain international is currently recovering in the United States after undergoing surgery for the fourth time on the humerus.
