Remind The Head Of The One Barisan Region, PDIP: The Interests Of The People And The State Are More Important
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto asked regional heads and deputy regional heads to unite according to Megawati Soekarnoputri's message. They were asked to realize the importance of discipline with respect to party commitments.
He said this before closing the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of PDIP Heads and Deputy Regional Heads at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Friday, June 17.
Hasto reminded that PDIP is not a party that likes to violate commitments. The party bearing the symbol of the bull ensures that it will continue to work to ensure the success of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
"We are not the figure of a political party that in working together violates the agreed cooperation commitment. The main thing is cooperation to ensure the success of Pak Jokowi and Kiai Haji Ma'ruf Amin," said Hasto in a written statement, Friday, June 17.
All cadres, continued Hasto, were also asked to obey the stages of the 2024 General Election (Election) as directed by Megawati. It is hoped that regional heads will prioritize national interests because the task ahead will be even more difficult.
They were asked to make innovations based on education to innovations in various fields, including agriculture. Moreover, there are various problems, one of which is the unavailability of superior seeds that support farmer productivity.
As for political contestation, all decisions will be taken in due time while taking into account the national interest.
"The task in the future will not be easy because yesterday's education aspect described how our level of education was. We need an innovation effort so that Indonesia can catch up with neighboring countries. We are still concerned about our university and it is the responsibility of all the nation's children," said Hasto.
"Ms. Ketum yesterday emphasized that being a leader is far more important than being an official. Being a leader means the process of galvanizing yourself, being trained by history, answering the call of history," he added.
It didn't stop there, Hasto also reminded all cadres to walk in the corridors and party mechanisms. Personal and group interests must be put aside.
"Where the interests of party organizations as collective interests that are integrated with the interests of the people, nation and state are far more important than the interests of individuals and groups," he said.
Then, regional heads and deputy regional heads of the PDIP must always carry the roots of their struggle, namely nationalist-Soekarnoist. "We are not a party that likes to uproot other people. The root we are working on is the root of the poor," said Hasto.
"That's what PDIP puts forward in politics with ethics," he concluded.
