Meeting Regent Korinus Masneno, Elementary School Student In Kupang Complains About Damaged Roads And Lack Of Teachers
KUPANG - Nurul Lailatul Qomariah, a Grade V student of SD Inpres Naibonat, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, complained to the Kupang Regent, Korinus Masneno about the damaged road to school, especially during the rainy season.
"We ask for the help of the Kupang Regent so that we can build a road to this school. Access to the school is inadequate, especially during the rainy season because there are lots of puddles and muddy water," said Nurul Lailatul Qomariah during a dialogue with Korinus Masneno in East Kupang, Antara, Friday. , June 17.
The presence of the Regent of Kupang, Korinus Masneno at SD Inpres Naibonat to witness firsthand the graduation announcement activities of SD Inpres Naibonat students as well as to have a dialogue with students.
Nurul Lailatul Qomariah recounted that during the rainy season students were forced to break through many puddles and mud causing their shoes to get wet and dirty when they entered school.
"Our shoes were muddy and wet because we had to go through a lot of puddles on the road to school," said Nurul Lailatul Qomariah.
In addition to complaining about the condition of damaged road access, Nurul Lailatul Qomariah also complained about the limited number of teachers at the school.
The Regent of Kupang, Korinus Masneno, said that he would help build the road to the school, including helping with zinc to repair the damaged roof of the school.
"The Kupang Regency Government will definitely build a road to this school so that it can help students get to school safely," said Regent Korinus Masneno.
Regent Korinus Masneno on that occasion said that the Kupang Regency Government is no longer recruiting contract workers, including for teachers, because according to the central government's instructions that in 2023 there will be no new contract workers.
"Contract workers are given the opportunity to take the Government Employee Test with a Work Agreement (P3K)," said Regent Korinus Masneno.
Regent Korinus Masneno appreciated the graduation results at SD Inpres Naibonat which managed to achieve 100 percent graduation from 102 students.
"This is the result and success of a harmony, synergy and commitment that we have built and maintained so far. However, it does not mean that our responsibilities have been completed. There is still a level of further education that our children must take and requires all of us to take an active role, " said Korinus Masneno.
