Pangdam Jaya Concerning The Khilafatul Muslimin: Groups Using Religious Narratives To Spread Khilafah Understanding

JAKARTA - Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Untung Budiharto stated that the Khilafatul Muslimin organization is only a group that uses religion to spread ideas that are not in accordance with the Pancasila ideology.

So, according to him, preventive measures must be taken so that not many people fall into this understanding.

"At this time there is a group of people, mass organizations that use religious narratives to invite the public to understand the caliphate which is clearly against Pancasila," Untung told reporters, Thursday, June 16.

This organization continues to spread propaganda issues to the public. The goal is to get a lot of support who believes that the understanding of the caliphate is the truth.

"This mass organization has violated the law in Indonesia and they carry out propaganda to invite other people to follow their understanding," he said.

Therefore, Untung emphasized that certain steps must be taken so that the notion that contradicts Pancasila does not spread. Especially, to the members of the organization itself.

"Our joint duty is to prevent them from falling into this understanding," said Untung.
