Korlantas Polri Ultimatum Its Members: Don't Find Driver's Mistakes!

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi has issued an ultimatum to his members not to find fault with the drivers during Operation Patuh Jaya 2022. All prosecutions are required to comply with the regulations.

"I hope that none of the (police, ed) seem to be looking for faults," said Firman at the Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, June 13.

Moreover, the prosecution in Operation Patuh Jaya 2022 prioritizes the use of ETLE. So, officers in the field are asked to only provide education to motorists. If it must be dealt with directly, officers are required to follow the applicable rules.

"I ask for good communication, so that people can understand (traffic rules, ed)," he said.

In fact, Firman asserted, if later officers found naughty while on duty, strict sanctions would be given. Because, officers must be a good example to the community.

"I am stressing (emphasizing, red) that officers must be orderly first. Media friends can capture later, if any of our members violate in the field, report it to their officers," said Firman.

For information, Operation Patuh Jaya will be held for two weeks or starting from June 13 to 26. Specifically in Jakarta, there are 35 points that are the location of supervision and action.

In addition, in Operation Patuh Jaya 2022, there are 8 focus violations, including the use of cellphones while driving, underage drivers, motorbikes riding in the car with more than 1 person.

Then, not wearing an SNI helmet, not using a safety belt, driving under the influence of alcohol, going against the current, and exceeding the speed limit.
