Talking About The Reshuffle, Masinton Pasaribu: It Must Be Done Immediately, Not Just A Discourse

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PDI-P faction (PDIP) Masinton Pasaribu believes that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) must immediately carry out a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle. The former governor of DKI Jakarta must replace the minister who is no longer focused on work.

"So I see that a reshuffle must be carried out immediately. So this reshuffle should not be just a discourse. It must be an action, be an action," said Masinton in an online discussion broadcast on YouTube, Saturday, June 11.

Masinton did not mention which posts the ministers had to replace. But, he gave a grid, the ministry led by a person who wants to run for the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) should be Jokowi's attention.

"(Ministers who deserve to be reshuffled, ed) Yes, ministers are desperate for president. Nyopras is running for president. We don't need to mention a big head later, it's like we're campaigning for him if we mention him, people with looks are already everywhere," he said.

"I don't have a political party but run. If we are the general chairman of a political party, we can understand that there is a task from his party and he uses the party network. This doesn't have a party, photos are displayed everywhere," Masinton added.

Even so, the PDIP politician reminded Jokowi to be careful in choosing who would replace his minister if he reshuffled. Don't let the newly entered names also use their positions to get votes in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.

"Don't let the ministers who come in don't focus anymore, but instead use them for campaigning again," he said.

Previously reported, President Jokowi had previously answered the reshuffle issue. He conveyed this after inaugurating the At-Taufiq Mosque in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 8.

"Not yet. Not yet," Jokowi told reporters when asked about the reshuffle issue on June 15.

The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno also responded to this issue. He did not argue, instead he said that if there was a cabinet reshuffle schedule, it would be delivered little by little.

"What date is it now? Yes, when there is a schedule, let it out a little," said Pratikno.
