Ganjar Pranowo's High Electability In Survey, PDIP Again Affirms Megawati's Decision
JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) has confirmed that it is not dazzled by the high electability of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, based on a number of survey results. Whoever will be nominated in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) is chosen by the PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
"Once again, there are stages for the election. PDIP is disciplined for that, all cadres are disciplined in all stages of the election," Hasto told reporters quoted on Saturday, June 11.
"And regarding the candidates, the general chairman will decide later," he added.
PDIP, continued Hasto, will move according to the momentum and stages of the election that have been determined. Not only that, the party bearing the bull symbol will look for a deeply rooted figure as a reflection of the people.
On that occasion, Hasto also responded to the glances at Ganjar by other political parties. He said, every party in the country should be able to galvanize its cadres internally, not hijack other cadres.
"That is part of the principle that must be put forward. We do not encourage overtaking in politics but political cooperation of mutual cooperation in politics to solve so many people's problems and our shared responsibility. That is what PDIP is pushing," he stressed.
Furthermore, Hasto does not want to talk much about who the candidates will be supported in the five-year political celebration. PDIP is now more focused on supporting the administrations of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
"So that the 2024 election will be carried out in an atmosphere of success and legacy from Pak Jokowi to be continued by future leaders," said Hasto.
Ganjar Pranowo's name is now in the spotlight because a number of survey institutions say he has high electability. Recently, Saiful Mujani Research & Consulting released the results of a survey related to the electability of figures and the results were that Ganjar excelled in all simulations.
SMRC Research Director Deni Irvani said Ganjar's electability was 14.3 percent in the top of mind simulation. Then followed by Prabowo Subianto at 13.4 percent.
"If the presidential election was held during the survey, Ganjar Pranowo would have a significant advantage over his opponents, including his most powerful opponents, Prabowo and Anies," Deni said in an official statement, Thursday, June 9.
The figures who are ranked third and fourth are occupied by Joko Widodo and Anies Baswedan with an electability of 8.2 percent.
In the semi-opened question format of 42 names, Deni said that Ganjar again received the most support with 22.5 percent.
"Followed by Prabowo 17.5 percent, Anies Baswedan 13.2 percent," he said.
While in the closed-choice simulation of 3 names, Ganjar also became the champion because he received the most support at 30.3 percent, followed by Prabowo 27.3 percent, and Anies 22.6 percent.
In the closed-choice simulation of 2 names, Ganjar Pranowo received the most support at 39.9 percent, ahead of Anies Baswedan with 34.5 percent.
Finally, in a closed-choice simulation of 2 names, Ganjar Pranowo received the most support at 38.4 percent, while Prabowo Subianto had 36.6 percent.
"Compared to 2 months ago. Support for Prabowo and Anies tended to not change much, Prabowo fell 0.1 percent, Anies 1.2 percent, while support for Ganjar rose 4.4 percent," said Deni.
