Good News From Citilink, They Open Medan-Penang And Denpasar-Dili International Routes To Support National Tourism Recovery

JAKARTA - Supporting the acceleration of the recovery of the national tourism sector, Citilink Indonesia airline as an airline under the auspices of the Garuda Indonesia Group opened a new international flight route, namely Medan-Penang PP starting today, Friday 10 June, and has re-operated the Denpasar-Dili PP route. .

President Director of Citilink Dewa Kadek Rai said that currently both Indonesia and Malaysia have entered a transition period from the pandemic to endemic and have imposed a quarantine-free policy for foreign tourists.

Moreover, said Dewa, Medan is the gateway to the western part of Indonesia and is one of the cities with the largest economy in Indonesia which has great trade and service economic potential.

"Penang is known as a city that has the potential for interesting cultural and historical tourism as well as medical tourism which is in great demand by foreign tourists," said Dewa, in Jakarta, Friday, June 10.

In addition to opening the new Medan-Penang PP route, Dewa said, Citilink has also re-operated the Denpasar-Dili PP route with the hope of making it easier for business and tourism travellers.

"We hope this can be a good start for the reopening of Citilink's international routes and can contribute to the recovery of the economic and tourism sectors between countries," said Dewa.

Dewa said the Medan-Penang PP route will operate every day, while the Denpasar-Dili PP route will operate every Monday and Friday using Airbus A320 aircraft.

On the other hand, along with the opening of PPKM, Citilink emphasized that it would implement strict health protocols in all its flight operational lines, from before to after flights by referring to the health protocol provisions set by the government.
