10 People Arrested By Police Related To Hit And Run Incident By South Jakarta Police
JAKARTA - After conducting an investigation, the South Jakarta Metro Police finally arrested 10 people who hit and ganged up on a member of the police, Bripka HY in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Thursday morning, June 9, 2022.
The South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto confirmed the news of the arrest. And now the alleged perpetrators are still under investigation.
"A total of 10 people (arrested)," said Budhi when confirmed Friday, June 10.
However, Budhi could not confirm the number of suspects in the case. Because at this time, it is still conducting the inspection process.
"We have 1 x 24 hours to determine which ones are perpetrators and which ones are not," said Budhi.
Regarding the victim, who was previously beaten by a number of perpetrators, his party is currently investigating the report.
"Well, this is what we are investigating. Those who were beaten have made our prisons. So there was one incident where a female victim was beaten and another incident was against an officer whose victim was a police officer," he said.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, June 9, at around 03.00 WIB. The incident began when Bripka HY wanted to try to break up the beating by a group of perpetrators against a woman.
The police asked the group of youths to stop. However, the perpetrators ignored it. In fact, the victim had issued three warning shots against the group.
"But they ran away in a car and were told to stop. They didn't want to. In the end, they were given a warning, but instead of stopping, they bumped into our members," said Budhi when confirmed, Friday, June 10.
"The second shot was aimed at the hood of the car, but it still didn't stop. Finally, the third shot into the glass and just stopped. So the member who was hit was dragged 5 meters away," he continued.
After the incident, the victim was rushed to Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta. Brigadier HY suffered a fracture and was given surgery.
"From the results of the post-mortem examination at Fatmawati Hospital, it showed a fractured bone that required surgery and a pen was installed," he concluded.
