4 Youths In Sleman Slashed While Eating Meatballs, Regent Kustini Sri Gives Attention To Police Immediately Arrests Perpetrators

SLEMAN - The Regent of Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Kustini Sri Purnomo said he was concerned that cases of street crime had occurred again in this area. As many as four teenagers became victims.

"Yes, I am very concerned that there will be another street crime in Sleman," said Kustini in Sleman, Antara, Tuesday, June 7.

Another street crime occurred in Sleman, last Monday in Pandowoharjo Village, Sleman District. The street crime happened to four teenagers, each with the initials G, a resident of Tridadi, Sleman, A and P, both residents of Tempel and G, a resident of Godean.

The victims were hacked by a group of people while eating meatballs on the roadside.

"Even though the Sleman Regency Government has formed a Street Crime Anti-Crime Task Force (Satgas) and all communities and stakeholders to activate citizen guard up to the village level," he said.

He appealed to families with children to pay more attention to their activities and social environment outside the home.

"Especially when children go out at night, parents and families must continue to monitor them. Especially if they leave the house until after 22.00 WIB," he said.

He hopes that this case will be handled by the authorities as soon as possible. "Obviously my hope, this incident is the last," he said.

The Sleman Police are still hunting for street criminals who are suspected of stabbing four teenagers on Monday, June 6 afternoon, at around 15.30 WIB in Pandowoharjo, Sleman District.

"We have received information from the Sleman Police Chief regarding the street crime incident and we immediately conducted an investigation to track down the perpetrators," said Sleman Police Chief AKBP Achmad Imam Rifai.

According to him, the provisional information received showed that the incident was a brawl between teenagers because the information was that the victim knew the group of perpetrators.

"However, we are still investigating the motive. Did they meet by appointment and then provoke each other or something else," he said.

He said the street crime case would still be processed according to the applicable law.

"We will carry out an investigation, an investigation, and hold the parties responsible accountable," he said.
