PSI Giring Calls Formula E A Success Because His Feet Is Broken, New York Mosque Priest: Why Don't Break It All, It Will Be More Successful
JAKARTA - The Grand Imam of the New York Mosque, Imam Shamsi Ali was surprised by the arguments used by PSI General Chair Giring Ganesha in assessing the success of the implementation of Formula E Jakarta.
Giring said the incident when his foot fell on the ground where the Formula E circuit was built had contributed to the success of the electric car racing event in DKI Jakarta.
"I just found out that Formula E was finally recognized as successful. But…. Because of the times that crashed. If no one crashes, it won't happen," said Ali through his Twitter account, @ShamsiAli2, Tuesday, June 7th.
When using the excuse of a broken leg to make the Formula E event a success, Ali feels sorry for the incident that happened to Giring.
Not disappointed with Giring's reasoning, Ali hopes that the former vocalist's leg will be injured even more so that the electric car event in Jakarta will be even more successful.
"Why don't you break it all right? Surely Formula E is more powerful!" said Ali jokingly.
Before giving an argument that sparked Ali's response, Giring said that the Formula E event on Saturday, June 4, could not be judged a success.
According to him, the crowds of spectators, the presence of high-ranking state officials and political figures who came to watch the live races could not be used as a benchmark that the committee and organizers succeeded in holding Formula E.
"You managed to see it from where? If it's just crowded and frenetic, really, it's not a success," he said.
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, responded by emphasizing that Formula E Jakarta has been successfully held because the realization has reached the goal.
Regarding the opinion of people who think that Formula E Jakarta is far from successful, Riza refuses to take it seriously. He said it was okay for people to think.
"From the plan and the realization of achieving the goal, it means that it is successful. If anyone has a different opinion, feel free," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, June 7.
