BPH Migas Tests Picking Up Jargas In Surabaya And Gresik
JAKARTA - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) together with the State Gas Company Sales Operation Regional III (PGN SOR III) East Java carried out a Pick Test in Surabaya City and Gresik Regency, East Java.
This activity aims to see the public's interest and purchasing power for natural gas products that are distributed through PGN's gas pipeline network for the household (RT) and small customer (PK) segments.
"PGN and BPH Migas jointly conducted a Pick Test to review the public's interest in non-APBN jargas. Through this activity, BPH Migas also ensures that natural gas distribution in the East Java region continues to grow to serve people who can receive benefits from natural gas," said the BPH Migas Committee, Wahyudi Anas in a written statement, Monday, June 6.
Wahyudi explained that in the Interest Picking Test activity, BPH Migas provided an opportunity for Natural Gas Trading Business Entities to develop gas infrastructure with an independent investment scheme.
That way, the use of natural gas in the community continues to increase and can reduce the supply of LPG raw materials.
"By increasing the use of natural gas, we can indirectly reduce the supply of LPG raw materials, which are mostly imported. This is in line with the RPJMN, where by 2024 the target is 4 million household connections," said Wahyudi.
General Manager of PGN SOR III-East Java, Edi Armawiria added that PGN is currently developing household networks through the Non-APBN Jargas program to support the achievement of the target of 1 Million House Connections (SR) and optimizing the use of natural gas for the household sector, small customers and groups. SMEs.
"This supports the use of environmentally friendly clean energy in the current energy transition period. In line with this, PGN is also canvassing the upper-middle market for non-APBN gas gas programs and new gas gas products with convenience and additional services. In the near future, we will hold a sampling test in Sidoarjo Regency, Mojekerto City and Semarang City," explained Edi.
For information, in Central Java and East Java, PGN SOR 3 has managed 150,450 household customers with a customer distribution area covering Bojonegoro, Lamongan, Blora, Mojokerto, Sidoarjo, Jombang, Gresik, Pasuruan, Probolinggo, Semarang City, Magelang, Mojokerto, Surabaya. , Pasuruan.
Through the Gas Network Development Program of 1 million household connections by PGN as Pertamina's Gas Subholding, it is hoped that it can achieve the target by 2024 and improve public services in providing fuel to get practical, safe, environmentally friendly benefits, and guaranteed 24/7 supply.
