Jambi Governor Urges Central Government To Realize Physical Construction Of Trans Sumatra Toll Road

JAMBI - Jambi Governor Al Haris urged the central government to immediately implement the physical construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road that crosses the Jambi region.

"Some time ago I went to Jakarta, we asked for the land that has been compensated for the construction of the toll road to immediately carry out the physical construction", said Al Haris, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 3.

Al Haris explained that most of the community land included in the determination of the location of the Trans Sumatra toll road had been compensated by the central government.

Meanwhile, several land parcels that have not been compensated will be paid immediately.

The delay in compensation for land parcels for the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road in the Jambi region was due to a change in the location determination.

However, currently, the determination of the location for the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road has been completed and the community lands included in the determination of the location of the toll road are just waiting for compensation payments from the central government.

The Jambi Provincial Government continues to urge the ministry to immediately start the physical construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road in the Jambi region, considering that the presence of the toll road is highly anticipated.

The Trans Sumatra toll road that crosses the Jambi region will facilitate transportation access from Jambi to South Sumatra and from Jambi to Pekanbaru, Riau.

"The information that we received from the Central Government for land compensation was immediately paid and completed", said Al Haris.

Two Trans Sumatra toll roads cross the Jambi Province. First, is the Jambi-Betung toll road with a length of 33.96 kilometers that crosses the Muaro Jambi Regency area.

Then the Jambi-Rengat toll road with a length of 116 kilometers crosses the districts of Muaro Jambi, Batanghari and Tanjung Jabung Barat districts.
