Different From DPP, DPD Gerindra DKI: Taufik Must Still Be In The Gerindra Party
JAKARTA - Chair of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Regional Leadership Council (DPD), Ahmad Riza Patria, responded to the news about the plan for the member of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Mohamad Taufik, to leave his party.
Riza emphasized that Taufik would still be with the Gerindra Party even though he is no longer the Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. This statement is different from the Central Executive Board (DPP) Gerindra which agrees that Taufik will leave the Gerindra Party.
"Until today, Mr. Taufik is still with all of us in the Gerindra Party. God willing, we must remain in the Gerindra Party and continue to strengthen the ranks of the Gerindra Party," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Thursday, June 2.
The deputy governor of DKI Jakarta hopes that Taufik will remain in the party led by Prabowo Subianto. Although, the plan to change parties has been put forward by Taufik himself.
For Riza, Taufik is a politician who plays a significant role in the Gerindra Party. Because, Taufik is one of the founders of the party bearing the Garuda symbol since 2008.
"Of course we all hope that Mr. Taufik remains in the Gerindra Party. Because Mr. Taufik has a role and contribution to the Gerindra Party, especially in DKI Jakarta for approximately 13 years leading Gerindra in DKI with good results," said Riza.
Meanwhile, regarding the news that Taufik would change parties and join the Nasdem Party, Riza did not want to take the news seriously. "That's normal. If there are issues or opinions, it's just so crowded," he continued.
As is known, Taufik's plan to leave the Gerindra Party was echoed after he was removed from the position of Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD by the Gerindra Party DPP and replaced by Rani Mauliani.
Taufik admits that he plans to move to the Nasdem Party. In addition, Taufik will also resign from his position as Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2019-2024 period in the future.
In response to this, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party, Desmon J Mahesa, responded to the news about the desire of Member of the Board of Trustees of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra Party, M Taufik, to move to the NasDem Party. Desmond is actually grateful that Taufik left Gerindra.
"We are grateful. We are grateful that he moved so that NasDem knows how Taufik is," said Desmond when met by VOI at the DPR Building, Thursday, June 2.
Desmond also advised NasDem not to see the former deputy chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD as an extraordinary figure. Because in Gerindra, said Desmond, Taufik is very ordinary.
"Don't look at extraordinary taufik, for us it's just ordinary," said Desmond.
