Apple And Google Asked To Limit Data Collection Targeted Abortion Information Search

JAKARTA - Democratic Party senators from the United States (US) namely Massachusetts, Oregon, Vermont and New Jersey reportedly sent letters to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

We are concerned that anti-abortion prosecutors and other actors will seek to access and utilize personal information, including data regarding location, online activity, health and biometrics in a way that threatens their well-being. who exercise the right to vote," the senators wrote in the letter.

Certain data is collected, including health, biometrics, online activity and location, which can be used to identify a person seeking an abortion.
