It Turns Out That There Are Obstacles In The Coordination Of Civil Servants With The Indonesian Air Force For Air Law Violations

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Air Force Command and Staff School (Danseskoau) Marshal Widyargo Ikoputra admitted that there are still coordination problems between airport civilian officials and the Indonesian Air Force related to overcoming potential violations of the law in the airspace.

"The results of a preliminary study through a working lecture conducted by Pasis show that there are still obstacles in the implementation of activities to anticipate and overcome the potential for violations of law and airspace security of national jurisdiction," said Iko, Monday, May 30, quoted from Antara.

He made this statement in the Seskoau A-59 National Seminar entitled "Revitalization of Indonesian Airports as an Element of Air Power in Supporting National Airspace Security" which was broadcast on the Airmen TV Dispenau YouTube channel.

The cause of these obstacles, said Iko, is lower-level regulatory mechanisms, such as mechanisms for involvement to communication and coordination lines between airport civil officials and the Indonesian Air Force.

He also explained that what is meant by airport civil officials are customs, immigration and quarantine officials.

Airport civil officials also have a strategic role in ensuring the smooth running and security of the country, considering that airports are Indonesia's real gateway to the mobility of goods and people originating from outside national jurisdiction.

"The entry of people, goods, and other things will have an impact on vulnerability, potentially violating the law and security of airspace and national jurisdiction," he said.

However, he continued, anticipating and overcoming these violations cannot be partially done by airport civil officials alone. The Indonesian Air Force has a very important role in anticipating and overcoming these potential violations.

Therefore, Iko considers it important for civil airport officials and the Indonesian Air Force to improve coordination and communication in order to strengthen the country's resilience in terms of air security.

"Airports have a strategic role as a support for air security, as well as a gateway for economic activity," said Iko.
