This mission will be carried out by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno in the implementation of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) 2022. He made the Bali endek as a special souvenir given to the delegates at the event.
"Endek Bali is environmentally friendly in accordance with the implementation of tourism with a sustainable concept," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in an official statement released by Antara, Saturday, May 28.
"We hope that this Bali endek can be global through the implementation of the 2022 GPDRR. So that it can have a good impact on economic revival, job creation, and opening up business opportunities," he continued.
Sandiaga said that the Balinese endek which was used as a gift for the GPDRR delegation was innovated in the form of a Balinese gail bag, as well as masks.
"This creative economy product innovation is an example of Indonesia's readiness to welcome the new economic order. Creative creative product innovations like this are clear evidence that Indonesia is able to play an important role in global economic recovery that puts forward the concept of sustainability," said Sandiaga.
The concept of sustainability resilience in the tourism sector itself is the focus of the Indonesian government for the future in dealing with disaster risk.
