Jakarta's Odd-even Traffic Is Expanded, Violators In 13 New Locations Are Not Immediately Fined

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has expanded the implementation of the odd-even scheme to 26 roads. However, specifically at the 13 new points, the pattern of prosecution or ticketing will not be passed immediately because it must go through the socialization stage.

"There will be socialization. We will continue to disseminate it," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Friday, May 27.

The socialization process is carried out for a week or starting from May 25 to June 5.

After that, continued Sambodo, his party will also conduct trials. At this stage, there is still no action in the form of a ticket, but only a penalty.

"Trials in the sense that when there are violations in the 13 new areas, we will not immediately give action with a ticket, but we will carry it out with a warning," said Sambodo.

The dozens of new points include Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Balikpapan.

Then Jalan Kyai Caringin, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Salemba Raya on the west side, Jalan Salemba Raya on the east side-Paseban-Diponegoro intersection, Jalan Kramat Raya, and Jalan Senen Station.

Meanwhile, for the 13 road sections where the odd-even scheme has been applied, an immediate action will be taken for the violators.

"For the 13 old areas starting from Thamrin and others, this will still apply direct action because this has been in effect for a long time," said Sambodo.
