Waiting For Certainty On Election Stages, PDIP Postpones Rakernas

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said the national working meeting (Rakernas) of the two parties would be held on June 21-23. The National Working Meeting has been postponed from what was previously planned for June 10-13.

Hasto said the postponement of the implementation was because his party was still waiting for the 2024 General Election (Election) stage. This step was taken because the National Working Meeting is the stage for designing strategic policies in the political contestation event.

"Considering that this second National Working Meeting is to design a strategic policy in order to win the general election in 2024, why have there been several delays due to waiting for confirmation from the KPU," Hasto told reporters in the Gelora Bung Karno area, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday, May 27. .

"So the National Working Meeting will be held on June 21-23 2022," he added.

This Rakernas, continued Hasto, is the National Working Meeting for 2021, which was previously delayed in its implementation. The activity had to be carried out because it was in accordance with the 5th PDIP Congress in Bali.

Regarding the implementation of this annual activity, Hasto said, of course he will discuss the PDI-P strategy in politics, especially the 2024 election.

"So, here it is more about the party's strategic policy in winning the 2024 election, after in December last year all party consolidation was declared complete," he explained.

Previously, PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri said the National Working Meeting would be held on June 21-23. This news was also conveyed by Hasto Kristiyanto.

"The Chairperson has decided that the second National Working Meeting in 2021, which will be held in 2022, will be held on June 21-23," said Hasto in a written statement yesterday, Thursday, May 26.
