A Month Before Closing, Tax Amnesty Volume II Successfully Collects IDR 10 Trillion State Revenue
JAKARTA - Expert Staff to the Minister of Finance for Tax Compliance at the Ministry of Finance Yon Arsal said that the development of the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS) until May 27, 2022 had succeeded in recording income tax (PPh) revenues of Rp. 10.3 trillion.
According to him, this value was obtained from 51,682 taxpayers (WP) who disclosed their assets with total assets declared to reach Rp103.3 trillion.
"This is a very good development," he said while giving a statement to reporters in Jakarta on Friday morning, May 27.
Yon added that the PPS implementation would only last until June 30, 2022. This means that people who have not reported their assets only have about one month to be able to join this program.
"We urge you not to wait until the last second of the program's implementation, given the concern that suddenly there will still be assets that are left behind, not reported or not reported," he said.
Furthermore, Yon said that the program, which is often referred to as the tax amnesty volume II, could be followed by the community by paying it in installments little by little in reporting.
"So, for example, if you have 100 items of assets, 10 of which have just been collected, you have to report these 10 first. We will gather again tomorrow and report the rest," he said.
For information, the implementation of the Voluntary Disclosure Program is part of the implementation of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP) which was imposed by the government some time ago.
Meanwhile, the realized value of tax revenue as a whole until April 2022 is known to be IDR 567.69 trillion. This figure rose 51.5 percent on an annual basis (year on year / yoy) from the previous position of IDR 374.7 trillion in April 2021.
