The Cause Of The Deadly Accident At MT Haryono Revealed: Pajero Rider Suffers Minor Stroke
JAKARTA - Pajero driver, JRS (23), has been named a suspect in a fatal accident that killed a married couple on Jalan MT Haryono, Pancoran, South Jakarta. Police said the cause of the accident was that the suspect had suffered a minor stroke.
"This suspect had a minor stroke due to an abnormality in the heart. The heart abnormality caused a blockage in the head and at the time of the incident there was a second attack," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Friday, May 27.
The minor stroke caused JRS to lose consciousness. At that time, the suspect's foot was on the gas pedal.
As a result, the speed of the Pejero car he was driving could not be slowed down. Until finally, it hit seven other vehicles, including a husband and wife couple who died.
"I had convulsions, I felt cramps, I was unconscious and the position of the cramps when my foot was on the gas pedal," said Sambodo.
The stroke attack and history of heart disease experienced by the suspect was strengthened by the medical file from the hospital.
On that basis, JRS was decided not to undergo temporary detention even though he had been named a suspect.
"So that when the incident occurred, the person concerned was unconscious. Therefore, we have not detained the suspect because the suspect himself is currently being treated at the hospital," said Sambodo.
The police have named JRS (23) as a suspect in a fatal accident that killed two people.
The fatal accident occurred on Jalan Letjen MT Haryono, South Jakarta, Wednesday, May 25. In the accident, the driver of the Pajero hit seven vehicles.
As a result of the fatal accident, 6 people became victims, two of them a husband and wife couple, aka a couple, died on the spot.
