Swimming In The Swiss Aare River, Ridwan Kamil's Eldest Child Lost In The Current
JAKARTA - The eldest son of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, Emmiril Khan Mumtaz or Eril was reported missing while swimming in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland on Thursday, May 26 local time.
Eril at that time was going with his family to look for a campus. He will continue his education from Strata 1 (S1) to Strata 2 (S2).
On that occasion, he swam with his sister and friends in the Aare river. However, when he was about to rise to the surface, Emmiril was swept away by the current.
"When he wanted to rise to the surface, Eril was dragged by a fairly swift current, which previously received help from his friends," said the family, Elpi Nazmumzaman in a written statement to the family, Friday, May 27.
After this incident, the SAR team and local police immediately conducted a search. However, this activity was temporarily suspended due to dark conditions.
Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil, who did not go to Switzerland because he was in England, immediately rushed to meet his family. "We have met the family there," said Elpi.
"We ask for prayers so that Eril can be found soon, safe and well. He can reunite with his family in good health," he concluded.
