Good News From Alfamart, Retailer Owned By Conglomerate Djoko Susanto Wants To Distribute Dividends Of IDR 779.83 Billion
JAKARTA - Alfamart manager belonging to conglomerate Djoko Susanto, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) will distribute dividends from net profit for the 2021 financial year. At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held on Wednesday, May 25, Alfamart approved the distribution of dividends of 40 percent of net profit in 2021.
"From our net profit of IDR 1.95 trillion, IDR 1 billion will be reserved, in accordance with the provisions of the articles of association, while IDR 779.83 billion or IDR 18.78 per share will be paid as dividends," said Director of Sumber Alfaria Tomin Widian, in public exposure, quoted Friday 27 May.
The dividend distribution, said Tomin, will start on June 24, 2022. In addition to approving the distribution of dividends, AMRT's AGMS also appointed Budi Setiadi as Commissioner.
The COVID-19 pandemic, which has lasted for two years, has had a significant effect on the growth of the retail business. However, Tonin said, in the midst of this uncertain condition, AMRT managed to maintain a positive performance.

In 2021, AMRT earned a net profit of IDR 1.95 trillion, or a growing 83.83 percent of net profit in 2020. This increase in net profit is in line with revenue growth of 11.97 percent to IDR 84.90 trillion in 2021.
Tomin further explained, the company's and subsidiaries' outlets throughout 2021 grew by around 7.27 percent or 1,275 outlets, bringing the total outlets to 18,810 outlets consisting of 16,492 outlets owned by the company and 2,318 outlets owned by subsidiaries.
