Rp10 Thousand Is Too Cheap, The Kudus Transportation Agency Proposes An Increase In Parking Rates For The Krapyak Tourist Terminal To Increase By 150 Percent

KUDUS - The Transportation Service of Kudus Regency, Central Java, plans to propose an increase in vehicle parking levy rates at the Bakalan Krapyak Tourism Terminal, Kaliwungu District, Kudus Regency by 150 percent.

"The parking fee that we will propose is Rp. 25,000, an increase of 150 percent compared to the previous Rp. 10,000," said Head of the Transportation Agency of Kudus Regency, Catur Sulistiyanto, in Kudus, Antara, Wednesday, May 25.

The parking fee is IDR 10,000 for one parking. So far, these fares are among the lowest compared to bus parking rates at pilgrimage sites in other areas.

In fact, he added, the bus driver was surprised when he entered the terminal the fare was very cheap compared to tourist parking lots in other areas.

The parking levy rate at the Bakalan Krapyak Kudus Tourism Terminal refers to the regional regulation (Perda) number 7/2011 concerning the Retribution for Special Parking Places, Bakalan Krapyak Parking Park.

For this reason, the Kudus Dishub will immediately propose a revision of the parking retribution rate to the Kudus Regent. With the tariff adjustment, it is hoped that the regional revenue target can be exceeded.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the Bakalan Tourism Terminal, Krapyak Rossikan, added that the regional revenue target charged this year was IDR 300 million or the same as the 2021 target.

It's just that, he said, because it was still during the pandemic, last year's target was not achieved because the number of pilgrims had decreased. In addition, the terminal is also closed.

With the increase to IDR 25,000, he is optimistic that the revenue target from parking fees can be achieved.
