Metro Police Members Complained To Propam Because Of In-Law's Report About Theft

JAKARTA - A member of the police with the initials DK who served in the Polda Metro Jaya was reported to the National Police Propam for the alleged partiality in handling the case.

The reporter to the National Police Propam is her mother-in-law, Nurmila Sangaji. Previously, Nurmila was reported by the police with the initials DK about the alleged theft.

"We report unprofessionalism, partiality, or the need for an investigation," said Nurmila's attorney, Jay Tambunan, to reporters, Wednesday, May 25.

Nurmila was reported by DK on suspicion of theft because she brought things in her house. In fact, said Jay, his client has been living with the police for the last three years.

Moreover, the items belonged to his dead son. However, it is not detailed about the form of the goods in question.

"That, according to our client, is also unclear (the shape of the item, ed). It was not disclosed either. But he said there was a loss of Rp. 1.8 billion that was stolen," he said.

In addition, the reason for bringing her belongings was because Nurmila had been kicked out of the house by the police with the initials DK.

Regarding the reporting on Nurmila, Jay continued, it was carried out a month after his son or the wife of the police officer died, in February to be exact.

Reporting is registered with the number LP/B/1021/III/2022/SPKT Polda Metro Jaya.
