3 Junior High School Students In Semarang Arrested By Police At Home Regarding Bullying Cases
JAKARTA - The police have arrested three students of a public junior high school in Semarang City, Central Java. They are perpetrators of bullying against other students who are actually classmates at school.
Head of Criminal Investigation at the Semarang Polrestabes, AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan in Semarang, confirmed that the arrests of the three students were carried out in their respective homes.
He explained that the arrest of the class VIII student stemmed from a viral video on social media.
"Officers conducted an investigation and identified the perpetrator, then coordinated with the school in question," said AKBP Donny, Wednesday, May 25, as reported by Antara.
The police and the school came to the homes of each student who was the perpetrator of the bullying.
Meanwhile, from the information gathered on the bullying incident by 3 perpetrators against the victim on Tuesday (24/5) in Semarang Square.
The three perpetrators were still wearing school uniforms when they assaulted the victim, who was his classmate.
It is suspected that the abuse was triggered by a wrong message from the victim to one of the perpetrators. The three perpetrators are still being questioned at the Semarang Police Station.
