BNNP Banten Reveals Drug Cases Throughout April-May, Arrests 11 Suspects

SERANG - The Banten Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) revealed that drug crimes were committed during April-May 2022 in the Banten Province with 11 suspects.

"All drug criminals are methamphetamine," said Head of the Banten BNNP Hendri Marpaung in Serang, Tuesday, May 24.

The first disclosure of six suspects was determined to be drug abuse.

The first drug case began with public reports of the circulation of methamphetamine in the South Tangerang City area with the location of the Ciputat Living Plaza parking lot.

The Banten BNNP team developed this information and on Sunday (10/4) conducted an investigation and it was observed that the perpetrator was on Jalan H Nawu Cilandak, South Jakarta.

The officers secured the initials S and M by securing as much as one bag of evidence of crystal methamphetamine weighing 88.404 grams. The officers then went to M's rented house in Gandaria Selatan, Cilandak, South Jakarta and found four bags of methamphetamine weighing 400 grams.

Then the officers redeveloped based on the results of M's confession to the Tangerang Youth Prison and arrested J, and W. The Banten BNNP team also expanded it to Pondok Rajeg Cibinong Prison and secured the US.

"We secured evidence of 483.06 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with two digital scales, one Vario motorbike and the other," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the second drug crime case with one suspect with the initials DA (31) is a resident of East Ciputat, Tangse City with 2000 grams of evidence.

Disclosure of drug trafficking is based on public reports of narcotics shipments via expedition services.

The BNNP team studied the report and on Saturday (7/5) managed to secure DA on the orders of RF, which is still in the process of being pursued (DPO).

Likewise the third criminal case by securing three suspects and all of them employees of the state civil apparatus (ASN), even two of them judges at the Rangkasbitung District Court (PN) with the initials YR (39) and DA (39).

Meanwhile, another has the initials RASS (32) who is also a clerk. Another suspect in the drug abuse case was a household assistant who worked at DA's house.

The disclosure of the drug trafficking case was based on public reports of the delivery of methamphetamine type narcotics through an expedition delivery service and Tuesday (17/5) succeeded in securing RASS.

"We secured evidence weighing 20,634 grams of crystal methamphetamine and others," said Marpaung.
