DKI Jakarta DPRD Ultimatum, Sunter ITF Must Be Built Before Anies Leaves
JAKARTA - Member of Commission D for the Development of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Jamaludin, gave an ultimatum to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government immediately implement the construction of the Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) in Sunter, North Jakarta.
This was conveyed in a working meeting of the DKI DPRD Commission D with the DKI Provincial Government. As is known, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan has carried out the groundbreaking of the Sunter ITF since 2018, but until now the construction has not been carried out.
Therefore, Jamaludin urged the DKI Provincial Government to start the construction of the Sunter ITF before Anies' term ends in October.
"We just give an ultimatum until the governor ends his term, in October there will be no significant progress, it will not materialize, so just stop ITF Sunter", said Jamaludin at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, May 23.
Jamaludin emphasized that the waste management development plan at Sunter ITF requires real action. Considering that the Jakarta waste collection site at the Bantargebang TPST is predicted to be full soon.
"I don't think we need to be presented with the technicalities, what are we looking for, what is produced, the benefits, we don't need it. We need the facts. There is an ITF which has been appointed for 4 years until today it's just a beauty contest appointment", said Jamaludin.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
In its development, the planning for the construction of the Sunter ITF carried out by the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo initially collaborated with a power plant company from Finland, Fortum Power Heat and Oy as an investor.
However, over time, Fortum left the Sunter ITF project. Then, the DKI Provincial Government plans to borrow money from state-owned PT PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI). Unfortunately, the DPRD did not allow this.
Therefore, in today's meeting, the Chairman of Commission D of the DKI DPRD, Ida Mahmudah, suggested that Jakpro applies for regional capital participation (PMD) in the revised Regional Budget (APBD) for the 2022 budget year as the construction costs of the Sunter ITF with an initial budget estimate of IDR 3 trillion to IDR 4 trillion.
"When it comes to the wishes of my friends in the commission, I've already tried Sunter ITF using the APBD, in the amendment (Amendment to the Revised Budget) to submit it. Still, those who manage Jakpro, let it run", said Ida.
